How to play Yukon Solitaire
Open Yukon Solitaire, check the instructions and begin a round. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Look at what changes after your first action.
One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Build a steady rhythm
Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.
Step by step
- Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. A new-round button replaces the current round.
A useful example
A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Verify the rule before continuing.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Compare the situation with the worked example. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
